Belmore Youth Resource Centre

A Youth Centre for young people aged 12-24, who live, work or study within the Canterbury LGA.

The Belmore Youth Resource Centre houses Canterbury City Council's Youth Services Team; who work with young people aged 12-24. Workers include:
Youth Support Worker (Marissa) who offers 1-2-1 and family counselling; the Youth Development Officer (Jo) and Youth Activities Officer (vacant) are also in the BYRC. Jo is responsible for running the Drop in every Wednesday and Friday (school term) from 2:00pm til 5:00pm. During the school holidays we also run structured activities and excursions for young people that live, work or go to school within the Canterbury City Council local government area. BYRC work closely with the Youth Council, to organise and bring you the annual Youth X Festival. This year we hope that the event will be bigger and better than ever! Come along and join in the fun!

Also in BYRC we have the services :
Youth Block Youth Health Service -Nurse (Jeanette) is available every Wednesday from 2:00-4:30pm. You do not need to have an appointment or a medicare card. Youth Block also offer counselling services in the Canterbury area. Please contact BYRC for further information.

The BYRC also has rooms available for hire to community groups and organisations that have a focus on working with young people. For further information, please contact Jo @ BYRC.
